Bridezilla in Training

I know, I know... I fell back into my old habits and became a sorta blogger again. It wasn't my fault, I swear!!! I mean, I do have good excuses.

Last week I went to California to visit family and to go through the temple there. I will have a post dedicated to the California trip later, but there is just too much going on right now to deal with that. We left last Thursday and then got back on Monday night, so of course, there were no blog updates during that time. And then the day after I got back I of course had to go to work and right as I was leaving work, I was struck down by an illness known as influenza... Rumor has it that it is going around, and big surprise, I got it. But hey, I would rather be sick now than in two weeks. So I have been sitting at home lounging around trying to get better. I came into work on Wednesday (late) and my boss told me to go home and work from home. Sheesh... that pretty much made me never want to work in the office again. It is only slightly better to work at home in your pajamas from your BED... yes, only slightly.

Aside from being ill, I have been trying to work on a few last minute wedding plans. Yesterday I left work to go directly to run errands and did so until it was time to watch LOST (note to any fans... it was great. And if you are not a fan, you're crazy cause it is getting freaking good). We had to rent the tuxes, try to find shoes for me, get ties for the guys, get dresses for my nieces and try and rummage around for some bridesmaid's jewelry. Who knew that finding simple light blue earrings would be so hard. Apparently all jewelry makers have lost hope and are now only making gold, black or silver jewelry... BORING. I was going to try to make my own, but apparently there is no such thing as blue beads either. Go figure.

I still have a lot of little plans that I need to finish and they have begun to keep me up all night. My stress that kept me up last night was that I have to shoot my bridals tomorrow. Good thing that it is supposed to snow like 1-2 inches tomorrow. What does this mean to me?
1-Freezing
2-Wet
3-Muddy
4-Snow in my pictures. Yuck
5-Stupid
I hate the snow. I just bought my new shoes and they are going to be ruined if I have to tromp through the slush. Gross. And my dress in that weather? Don't even get me started. I also can look forward to waking up at the crack of dawn because I have to go and get my hair done at 8:30 AM... on a Saturday. 8:30 doesn't seem so bad until you realize that getting your hair done is the last step in the getting ready process. Which means I have to be showered, dressed, face done up and be driven down to SPANISH FORK for my 8:30 appt. Sleeping in means nothing to me anymore. It is like I have lost a once upon a time friend. I also completely forgot that I would need a bouquet for the bridals, so I am going to have to try to find something before all of the flower shops close for the day. I am just going to try and get one single flower. If it looks tacky, I will throw it out. But that also means that I have to get ribbon for the flower tonight... along with finalizing other wedding plans, getting my nails done, blah blah blah. Help me, I think I am going to lose my mind.

Can you even believe that I get married in 13 days? I can't. It is like it has been an off in the distance once upon a dream until now. Whoa.

Oh Bridezilla, sorry you got sick. I guess everyone did, dad and Hannah have both been ill. I have had a sore throat but thats all. I hope the weather will hold up long enough for your pictures. Dont stress, everything will work out. Try to enjoy these times. You will be beautiful. Your sisters did not use flowers in their bridles so dont stress about that either. Good luck with all you have going on. Try to relax. Love MOM

You are freaking hilarious!
1. Lost is so dang awesome!
2. I will go look for earrings if you want me too.
3. Don't wear your shoes tomorrow, they aren't going to show in the pictures and you will just ruin them, dig out your old moon boots and wear them.
4. The bouquet for my bridals was 3 red roses we bought at Macy's (the grocery store) we didn't have any ribbon or anything. It was just par for the course because, I got my bridals done in a really classy basement "studio." I use the word studio loosely. Plus the photographer was the only person in Utah County that smokes, and me and my dress reaked of smoke by the time we left.
5. As a dad would say, "simmer down now." Everything will work out perfectly. And even if it doesn't 10 years from now, it won't matter. All though you are more compulsive than me, maybe it will matter to you. Just kidding. Everything will work out.

Oh my Bridezilla Sissy Pants, don't worry everything will be just perfect. I got those 2 girls lined up that are going to serve so that should be done. I can't wait to see how your bridals turn out, they are going to be beautiful. You are so photogenic. Alright lady, let me know if there is anything I can help you out with. Loves.

Nicole your comments were hilarious. I can just see her in moon boots with that dress, and then the way you describe your photo shoot had me in stitches! The pics turned out beautiful though...you were all beautiful brides

Hi Bridezilla, how did the bridals go? Sorry about the snow, but you are singing to the choir on this one. I got married March 21 need I remind you. Why didn't you take them indoors? Don't forget to have the grass retouched in your pics if there happens to not be snow. I forgot to do that and it is so romantic to have yellow / brown grass in the background of your wedding pics let me tell you! Good luck with everything, I'll be there in less than a week to help!
