Here is just a bit of what we have been up to:
-I am in school full time this spring. Not only am I in school, but I am also a reporter for the Daily Universe (BYU's campus paper). When I first started classes, I was enrolled in 9 credits (similar to taking 18 credits in a real semester) and the first day of class, the teacher stood up and said, "Don't try to take this class while working or taking a full load of school." Lucky for me, I was trying to do both. After many breakdowns, I decided that it would probably be best to drop a class... so I'm down to 6. It has been really interesting to be a "reporter". It is very time consuming, but somehow I am making it... only 5 weeks to go until I am DONE!
-Jordan is done with school and is still working at Wells Fargo. He has also started his own window washing business and is doing really well so far! Shameless plug... if you or anyone you know needs their windows cleaned, I know of a good one... Just sayin'.-We are moving to our new apartment this weekend! We were supposed to move in at the beginning of the month, but we didn't ever hear from them. Not wanting to pay double rent, we thought that we would just wait it out... but then I got too nervous that we weren't going to get the apartment and broke down and called yesterday. The management lady told me that she had talked to Jordan last week and that he was really insisting that we move in by the 15th... However, Jordan didn't remember the call at all, so let's really hope that they were talking about us...
-I have been feeling quite crafty lately. I am working on some paintings for our new apartment which I am really excited about. Also, with the help of my sister in law, Shauna, I have been making some hair accessories. I even bought my own glue gun... it was kind of a big deal.
-We bought the bed. We semi-splurged and got a King Simmon's Beauty Rest. I get to sleep on it this weekend and I am EXCITED. Going from a full to a King will be quite the transition. Not to mention switching from a who-knows-how-old-this-thing-is mattress to a brand new one. mmmmmm....
-I am starting to feel more and more like a grown up. We have been buying a ton of stuff for our house the past month and we will soon be buying a Washer and Dryer... sure wish we could splurge on these, but we decided that spending $3,000 on new ones probably isn't the best way our money could be spent. I don't need those to make me happy though. Just as long as I have the security of NEVER having to load all of my laundry over to my friends house EVER AGAIN. I am actually going to look forward to doing laundry. weird.
Well it doesn't seem like we are that busy, but school and work rule our lives. Since we move this weekend, we will FINALLY have the internet back. I will feel like a new woman with two bedrooms, a washer and dryer and the internet. I don't even know what I am going to do with myself...
