Disneyland with the Lewis clan

Before we went on a cruise, we spent two days at Disneyland with Jordan's family.  This year was Amy's 60th birthday and this is what she wanted to do to celebrate!

I haven't been to Disneyland since I was about 13 (?), so it was really fun to be able to go.  I was NOT used to walking as much as we did during those two days, though, and I am still not sure if my feet have recovered!  Literally, the day after our last day, I was limping.  Guess I need to get out more!

First day: California Adventure.  Jack did a good job mapping out our stops

Official College Graduate

The last month has literally flown by.  I can't even believe it is the middle of May!  So many things have happened since I last posted and I am feeling slightly overwhelmed to post about them all... but I will start from the beginning.... GRADUATION!

I am sure most of you don't know this, but I almost dropped out of college.  Seriously, almost dropped out for good.  It all started Thanksgiving '08 when my little nephew, Coleman, decided to come a little early and was born just around the corner from me--A little, tiny, perfect baby.  As I have mentioned before, I have been pretty much baby hungry forever, so when I held that sweet little guy, I wanted one.  Bad.  So as soon as he left, my crazy mind justified dropping out of school so that I could work full time and save all of our pennies so we could have one.

I had made up my mind completely and started to tell everyone my plan.  Pretty much every single person told me that they didn't think it was a good idea.  They kept telling me that I would regret it.  I would just laugh because I didn't think that I would.  I hated school at the time and I really didn't care because I just wanted a baby.  I had already made up my mind!  However, I still had to tell my dad--the person who had already invested thousands of dollars in my education.  I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but like I said, my plan was set in stone.  I expected him to be really upset and angry and tell me no (even though, hello, he couldn't really tell me what to do, but I was still scared).  But when I told him, I am pretty sure he was really nice about it and urged me to just take a semester off to see if I still felt the same.  I took his advice, took a semester off and got a new found motivation to finish up school.  I pretty much owe my entire college degree to my parents because without them, I know it wouldn't have happened!

I was so lucky to have so many people attend my graduation!  My parents came up from California, Kate and my grandparents came down from SLC, Amy (Jordan's mom) came from California and Megan (Jordan's sister) and Coleman came up from Vegas.  It really meant so much to me to have all of these people make such an effort and sacrifice to come!

Funniest. Video. Ever.

One of Jordan's friends sent us this video and we have watched it no less than 15 times tonight.  Jordan's laughing increased each time we watched it and we both had tears streaming down our face.  I recorded Jordan on the last time we watched it, but it still didn't capture how hard he had laughed during other times.

For your viewing pleasure, here's the actual video:
