It's strange to me that it when I was a kid, I had two Halloween activities - a parade at school and Trick or Treating. Now it seems like Halloween lasts the entire month of October and dressing up happens 4 or 5 times. Owen is only 1, but I already feel like I want to scale back in future years! I want him to be able to enjoy Halloween instead of being burnt out before the actual day even arrives.
We started this year with the ward Trunk or Treat! This was Owen's first chance at going around and collecting candy. I think he picked up the idea pretty quickly and LOVED it! Owen was a tiger (NOT Tigger!) courtesy of Grandma Amy. He loved his costume! I was glad that he would actually wear the hood (since he hates hats). I must say he looked pretty darn cute!
Love this little cheeser. Sometimes if you say, "give me a good smile!" he will bust this out. I think he is learning that I like it, so he's changing his mind on it.
He does not like to be contained.
He went back to this little girl about 15 times.
Helping himself
Next up, we went to the Pumpkin Patch! We found ourselves a nice, free one in Springville. I am not quite ready to fork over $30 to stay for 30 minutes at other pumpkin patches :) And this one was awesome!
Hate this pic of me, but look at that cute little bug.
A little timid with the animals at first. By the end, he couldn't stay away.
Giant corn pit! It is a lot more enjoyable for kids than adults. I had to go in at one point and came out with shoes full of corn.
Tractor ride
Our friends, the Peterson family
Yelling "HI!" to the animals over and over and over again.
Last, but not least, we hit up the Adobe party. Our brother in law, Justin, works there and since they recently moved away, we were able to use his tickets. For those that don't know, they decorate the interior of their office building with themes and you walk through collecting candy, etc. I am sad this was the last year they will be doing it since I don't think Owen enjoyed it as much as he would in the future! And for the record, I am a scaredy cat... We took the haunted route a few times and I DID NOT enjoy it. There was a lot of grabbing Jordan, closing my eyes and using Owen as a shield (just kidding... sort of)
