I Hate My Leprocy

Ok, I really don't have leprocy, but my rash seems to be spreading up my arms. I hate it so bad it almost makes me want to cry. It is disgusting and ugly. And I can especially see it since I shave my arms. Curse you, you little bumps!

Please recommend anything. I put on some Cortizone last night.

Brain Dump

Jordan's sister Shauna always does these and I had a few random thoughts so I thought I would try it as well.

Last night was Jordan and I's (sp?) last date as fiance and fiance. Weird. My bachlorette party is tonight and his bachelor party is tomorrow. Therefore, we will not be going on a date this weekend and next week will just be too crazy. It was very spur of the moment. We hit up the family favorite, Mi Ranchito. I always love that place. It was a slight downgrade from The Roof which is where we had our last dinner as boyfriend/girlfriend, but it was still delicious. I wonder where our last date will take place as husband and wife... I am thinking something like the senior special at 4 pm at HomeTown Buffet...

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I looked in the mirror after I had removed my makeup and thought that I had a strange resemblence to this beauty. Not cool. (Tilda Swinton at the Oscars 2008)

I get married in 6 days. And that is weird to me. No I am not getting cold feet. No I am not going to back out. No I am not having second thoughts. I just think it is weird that I will have a husband and I will have a new last name. I don't feel like a grown-up who is getting married.

I did not watch LOST tonight and I feel like a lost soul. I will also not be able to watch it for the following two weeks. Boo. I mean yea! I will be on a cruise! Suckers!

I will be on a cruise one week from tomorrow. I am so excited. I have never been on a cruise, let alone by myself with a boy.

Jordan played with the idea the other day that we might get a puppy this summer. Bad idea Jordan. Now I really want one. I just imagined us driving back from the summer and the girl puppy driving back with us in the car. This summer would be ideal to get the puppy since I will be readily available at my home. Plus, we have been saving our coins as a "puppy fund". We probably have $20...so we are well on our way :)

Choosing a bridal picture was the hardest decision I have had to make with the wedding plans. I think choosing my dress, location, and invitiation were all easier... combined. It took me like 5 days and a bunch of opinions for me to really decide...and I am still not sure if I am fully decided (although I did submit it for printing). I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet. Sorry, I won't post any on the blog since Jordan checks it, so I guess you will have to go to the reception to see the dress.

I went tanning the other day (trying to prep for our cruise) and I used some special lotion called "tingler". Basically when I was in the bed, I felt like my skin was burning off and I couldn't touch the tanning bed with anything I put the lotion on. After I got out, I had lobster colored flesh and I felt like I was sunburned. Luckily, it is only a temporary thing, but I think it gave me some sort of rash. I look like I have leprocy on my arms. Awesome. To the side is a picture of my legs. If you can't tell, they are REALLY bright red. Oh the joys of prepping for a wedding...

WARNING: The Following Images May Be Considered Offensive to Some Audiences

No joke, this is a picture of my room in its current state. Some of you may ask why I would dare posting these pictures online. Gasp! How embarassing. The truth is, I don't really know. I was just bored and kinda wanted to document it cause I thought that it was HILARIOUS that my room "looks like a bomb blew off". My room usually doesn't look like this but since my room is slightly bigger than a walk in closet, storing a lot of stuff doesn't always work out well. Not to mention the fact that my make shift closet (I have a full sized closet, but only half of it has a clothes rack, so I bought a cheap one) broke last week leaving half of my clothes on the floor with no where to store them. Plus, I did laundry, but since I don't have a closet, there is no where to put them so they stay in the laundry basket... which doesn't exactly leave a lot of space for the dirty clothes.

{A different view.. notice the path along the side of the bed.}

I have a lot of wedding stuff (you can see my dress in a bag in the first pic, and a nice side view of the viel in the second...) stored in here too, so seriously, I have no extra space. I have worked on cleaning it a little bit (now that I think of it, I think this picture was taken POST clean up attempt). I am not too worried about it though. All of this stuff will be out of here soon anyway. Hooray!

Happy Birthday Dingledorf!

Today is my sister Katie's birthday! One year old and wiser too. She is so great. I am so lucky to not only have an amazing sister like her, but also 3 others to go along with her!

I hope your day is awesome Kate! Love you!

Bridezilla in Training

I know, I know... I fell back into my old habits and became a sorta blogger again. It wasn't my fault, I swear!!! I mean, I do have good excuses.

Last week I went to California to visit family and to go through the temple there. I will have a post dedicated to the California trip later, but there is just too much going on right now to deal with that. We left last Thursday and then got back on Monday night, so of course, there were no blog updates during that time. And then the day after I got back I of course had to go to work and right as I was leaving work, I was struck down by an illness known as influenza... Rumor has it that it is going around, and big surprise, I got it. But hey, I would rather be sick now than in two weeks. So I have been sitting at home lounging around trying to get better. I came into work on Wednesday (late) and my boss told me to go home and work from home. Sheesh... that pretty much made me never want to work in the office again. It is only slightly better to work at home in your pajamas from your BED... yes, only slightly.

Aside from being ill, I have been trying to work on a few last minute wedding plans. Yesterday I left work to go directly to run errands and did so until it was time to watch LOST (note to any fans... it was great. And if you are not a fan, you're crazy cause it is getting freaking good). We had to rent the tuxes, try to find shoes for me, get ties for the guys, get dresses for my nieces and try and rummage around for some bridesmaid's jewelry. Who knew that finding simple light blue earrings would be so hard. Apparently all jewelry makers have lost hope and are now only making gold, black or silver jewelry... BORING. I was going to try to make my own, but apparently there is no such thing as blue beads either. Go figure.

I still have a lot of little plans that I need to finish and they have begun to keep me up all night. My stress that kept me up last night was that I have to shoot my bridals tomorrow. Good thing that it is supposed to snow like 1-2 inches tomorrow. What does this mean to me?
1-Freezing
2-Wet
3-Muddy
4-Snow in my pictures. Yuck
5-Stupid
I hate the snow. I just bought my new shoes and they are going to be ruined if I have to tromp through the slush. Gross. And my dress in that weather? Don't even get me started. I also can look forward to waking up at the crack of dawn because I have to go and get my hair done at 8:30 AM... on a Saturday. 8:30 doesn't seem so bad until you realize that getting your hair done is the last step in the getting ready process. Which means I have to be showered, dressed, face done up and be driven down to SPANISH FORK for my 8:30 appt. Sleeping in means nothing to me anymore. It is like I have lost a once upon a time friend. I also completely forgot that I would need a bouquet for the bridals, so I am going to have to try to find something before all of the flower shops close for the day. I am just going to try and get one single flower. If it looks tacky, I will throw it out. But that also means that I have to get ribbon for the flower tonight... along with finalizing other wedding plans, getting my nails done, blah blah blah. Help me, I think I am going to lose my mind.

Can you even believe that I get married in 13 days? I can't. It is like it has been an off in the distance once upon a dream until now. Whoa.

Lights Out!

Over the Christmas break (sorry, I forgot that I had so much to post about from then!), we decided to go to dinner. My mom was really craving this Mexican Restaurant near Fresno, which is about 45 minutes away. So we loaded up the kids (Nat and Ben were on a cruise so we had Gabe and Laine) and drove up.

It wasn't long after we were seated that the lights completely shut off. Completely. There were absolutely no windows so it was really dark. I don't know if this was a common occurrence for this restaurant or if they just happened to have the stuff on hand, but they soon brought out candles to put on the tables so we could somewhat see. Some people just kept eating as if the lights had never even gone out.

I took this picture of Laine right after it happened. This picture was taken in the dark, so she had no idea it was coming. I love the terror on her face.

This is Katie's "What do we do?" face. We hadn't ordered our food yet and the waitress kept coming by our table and asking us if we wanted to order. Yes, there were still people ordering food and expecting the cooks to prepare their food in the dark. Scary!

I guess Gabe decided he couldn't see anyway, so he just kept his eyes closed.

I thought this picture was so cute of my mom and Laine. Notice Laine's Santa hat and the "glubs" (gloves). She refused to take either off and would freak out every time we tried. Also notice that the glubs are way too big seeing as they were mine. Yes, eating was a little difficult for her.

We finally decided to pack up the kids and head down to a little food shack (literally) called Chiquitos. You would not believe how much Gabe ate. He LOVED his food.

He loved these chips. Look at those little chicklet teeth.

When Gabe couldn't get to the rest of the food that was in the rest of the food container (aka, the hotdog holder), he decided that he would just pick up the carton to get every last morsel. He did this all on his own. That kid is an EATER.

This is how it typically goes with Laine. When I try to give her a kiss, she usually says, "No kisses!" and shoves me away. She is her mother's daughter and will do anything for a sweet:

Amazing how she suddenly wants to be my best friend once I can bring something to the table. Once again, notice the glubs and hat.

What a Beautiful Day!... Sorta

Today at work, I noticed that a few coworkers of mine were wearing shorts--one was even wearing flip flops.  So as I was driving home for lunch, I found that I was actually getting a little hot in the car, so I rolled down the window and rolled up my sleeves.  I was curious how warm it was outside.  We have been having FREEZING temperatures and nothing but snow.  And now the sun is shining and I have my window rolled down.  So I called Time/Temp (the greatest thing ever) to hear the temperature.  38 Degrees. There is seriously something wrong here...

P.S.  Have I not been the best blogger ever recently?  I am one blog away from beating my all time  record "posts in one month".  6.  Go me.

Our Fun Weekend in Logan

A few weeks ago, Jordan and I went to visit my sister Katie in Logan. It was so much fun! The weekend started with us going to look at wedding dresses. Let me tell you, it was an adventure. First of all, we walk into this lady's house and it is FILLED with prom dresses, wedding dresses, birds, sewing machines, you name it. We had an appt, but for some reason, she double booked and we ended up trying on dresses with another girl as well. This wouldn't have a problem at any other bridal shop, but when we went into the basement, I immediately knew why. There was about three feet of standing space. Total. So somehow we both had to try on these huge, elaborate dresses in a small space. It was definitely an adventure as I would have one dress on, slip that off and then have the next one flung onto my body before I could even blink. My sister had warned me that it would be an adventure, but I had no idea it was going to be to this extent. I found a dress that I really liked, but I found one down in Utah County that I liked as well, so I opted for that one because of price and travel. It is beautiful, but of course, no pictures will be posted for another 4 weeks!

We then headed to the Aggie Basketball game. I had fun acting like an Aggie fan--I especially got into the fight song (Show me an Aggie that doesn't love the thistle...). Jordan, however, cheered for the other team. I was embarrassed to be seen with him while he would cheer for the other team. Sheesh. After that, we got some ice cream and headed back to my sister's house for an awesome (and quite long) round of Mario Kart with our old next door neighbor Cade, and his girlfriend. Man, was it wild. All in all, it was a very fun weekend, but I am still not fully convinced on moving up there. :)

Everyone wanted their own shots at the basketball game:

Nice pose. And so romantic--especially at a basketball game.

This is Cade (aka the closest thing that we ever had to a brother). He lived next door to us ever since we moved into our Orem house. Good times were always had when he was around. This trip only reaffirmed it. This kinda almost looks like a senior picture. Sorry for it being sideways... I don't know how to change it and it was just too good not to post.

For My Sissy Pants

I don't know why, but some reason, Katie started calling me that one day. Ever since, we have come up with a variety of names for each other...mostly coming from our parents (Dingledorf, Snicklefritz, etc). I was about to pull some new pictures off of my camera when I realized that I still hadn't posted so many from over the break.

On one of our family outings (I think we were going to Ross or some other high class store), we of course had to take two cars. My little sister Hannah just got a new truck and she wanted to take us for a spin... which was weird in and of itself. She's driving?! Weird. So it was really fun as we piled into the car. What we did not realize when we agreed to this was how small the front seat of the truck really was. We took this opportunity to have a little photoshoot. I swear, taking pictures with the sisters will never get old. I think we took like 50... at least. I will share some of my favorites.

We were seriously so squished in the front of the truck. I don't think that we were leaning in to take this picture. Pretty sure this was exactly how we were sitting.

I absolutely love Katie's face in this one. Hehe. Love you sissy.

And of course, we had had to end on a bang. You are so pretty Katie.

The African Booze Tree

My sister Katie sent this to me forever ago and I just watched it for the first time today... I think this is so funny!

28 days... I mean 29

That little counter tool this is confusing. It makes me think that I am getting married sooner than I actually am. It SAYS 28 days, but it really means 29. This whole time I was using that as if it were accurate. But it is really like 28 days and 18 hours... until it reaches midnight of March 6.

I can't believe how fast the time has gone by though! It really doesn't seem like we have been engaged for three months, but then I look back and realize that it has! We get married exactly one month from today. That is so weird to me!!! We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon and I am so excited. I haven't really been on vacation like this before.... I am not going to live on anyone's time, but my own. I can sleep when I want to, eat when I want to, relax when I want to... it will be fantastic. Plus it will be warm, which is LOADS better than the weather we have been experiencing here. SNOW.

Sorry for the boring posts lately, I have just been so busy, I hardly have time to sit down and relax. I know it doesn't take long, but when I have a few minutes to sit and relax, the last thing that I want to do is sit down and get pictures off of my camera, write a post and format everything. My invitations went out yesterday (YEA!) so my free time will be going up a little bit (I hope). So I will make an effort to do a little better...

Props to My Management Company

So I was so fed up with everything that has been going on with this sort-of-roommate that I went and talked to my management company last week. Well, I never heard back from them. And then things got worse in the past few days so I called them and left them a nice message letting them know of the situation and that I was upset and that if she didn't get her car (that has just been SITTING there for the past few days) out of one of our two parking spots (there are three (four if you count her) girls living there, we need all that we can get!), I was going to have it towed.

So my AWESOME management company called her and told her all of the stuff that was said about her. I was cooking my dinner last night and she comes in and starts getting really mad. Awesome. She said that she had just received a call that her car was going to be towed, yada yada yada (of course I knew exactly what she was talking about cause I made the call) and she was so IRATE because she lived her and she wanted to talk to whoever made the call and see what is going on. Keep in mind that she is a LARGE polynesian, angry woman. Did she actually think that whoever made the call was going to admit it? Maybe someone else, but I am smarter than that so I just played dumb. She then said that she was going to wait until Brook and the other girl (that is actually what she called her) got home so she could talk to them about it.

So I immediately sent out a text message saying "Don't come home! Don't come home!" and explained the situation. Apparently she gave up, because she left like 20 minutes later.

So props to my management company for the awesome job that they did to fix this problem. A+++.

Luckily, this property is only zoned for THREE people. And since I want to be a law abiding citizen, I will just tell them that I will move out so we can obey the law. So convenient that I need to move out anyway. I will also give them my rent check MINUS all of the utilities that she should have been paying the past few months. Her parents own the property, so it will be just like she is paying me. Awesome.

33 days until I never have to deal with this crazy woman again... (Little did you know, that is actually what my countdown is all about)
