Friday night, Jordan's company rented out a theater for the Hunger Games. I was so very excited to see it and it did not disappoint! I was very surprised that Jordan even liked it... and I think he is ready to read the books! We left Owen behind with his very first non-family babysitter (a friend in the ward). I was a nervous nelly the whole time. But when we went to pick him up, he was fast asleep. And in a deep enough sleep that we were able to transfer him from his car seat to crib for the first time ever.
On Saturday, we:
Scouted out a craft fair to see if it is something we want to do with pinned pretty
Crawled all around the house and got into everything possible.
Went to dinner with our friends the Vissers at Thaiphoon. Owen tried a lemon and "enjoyed it"
Checked out the new City Creek Mall in Salt Lake. Owen was a bit awestruck (but who wasn't??)
Stopped to watch the fountain show at City Creek.
On Sunday, we went for a walk and stopped out our neighborhood park. Owen had a fun time going down the slide.
Although his emotions don't really show it.
And we made some funny faces too.
Played in the tubes. Although most of his time was spent crawling to get out. We are good parents, so we forced him into the middle so he was forced to explore at least a little bit.
He liked the toys alright, but his favorite part was just getting to stand on his own!
And getting thrown high into the air by dad.
