Decorating the Christmas Tree

I felt like we decorated our Christmas Tree so late this year.  But I just looked at the timestamp of the pictures and we apparently put it up on December 2.  Maybe it felt that way since everyone was putting their tree up before Thanksgiving!  Also, this was probably the craziest week of my life as we had a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale that did better than we anticipated and had spent the Thanksgiving season with my family in St. George.  It pretty much did not slow down until about a day before we left for California!

Looks comfy

Owen got bored pretty quickly and decided to shoot some hoops instead.

Cheering for himself.  He's his own #1 fan and says, "Yes!" after each shot (regardless if he makes it or not)

Now decorating, he was interested in.  Especially since he is obsessed with anything that resembles a ball (an actual ball, the letter O, fruit) and we were essentially covering the entire tree in balls.

Now that's a Charlie Brown tree if I've ever seen one.  If you have a real tree, it is acceptable to have a Charlie Brown tree. If you have a fake tree, it's just sad.  We have both.

Now I see where he gets the squint face.

Blurry self family portrait

As if our tree wasn't sad enough, Owen decided to do a little redecorating of his own.  He took all of the ornaments and decorations off and scattered them throughout the house.  He eventually even started dragging the tree around.  It was light and our floors are slippery enough, it was pretty easy for him.  If anyone has any great tips for how I can get him to avoid it next year, I'm all ears.  I tried for like a day to get him to leave it alone, but it went in one ear and out the other. Actually, come to think of it, I don't actually think it went in one ear.  It was basically like I never even said the words and that I didn't exist. Owen is a really good listener.

Fishies

A few months ago, we went up to the aquarium with some friends. Owen had a great time hanging out with the kids and seeing all of the fishies or feeee as he calls them.

Trying to be a big boy

Okay, maybe he is a big boy and I am just in denial.

"feeeeee"

Mom! Look!

We took two pictures together and he is closing his eyes in both of them.

The otters were very playful that day and were actually going down the slides and interacting.

Bath Time!

Owen has a love/hate relationship with the bath.  He goes through spurts where he LOVES it and cannot get enough of it or he goes for weeks and hate hate hates it and will scream the entire time.  Luckily we caught some of the good times in the tubby.
He looks like one of my sisters here.  I can't quite place which one he looks like, but I am thinking Katie.

He doesn't just need to play with one toy, apparently he needs to play with the bag of toys.

He looooves to splash.  These were taken a few months ago, but his usual splash face is my favorite face of all time. He squints his eyes as tight as he can and goes crazy.

Cute little bummy

He loves more than anything to be naughty.

Family Pics

A few months back, we went up to AF canyon to take some pics of the Lewis grandkids (or grandsons since that's all there is). My sister in law was surprising my mother in law with a canvas pic of all of them for Christmas, so we wanted to make it a good one - hence the reason I am not posting them until now!  I think we picked the perfect time to go and take the pics. It was beautiful up there!

Taking pictures of 4 boys is HARD! Between the awkward forced smile phase, short attention spans and pure boredom, we got a lot of shots that turned out like this:

I love that my nephew Lincoln has the perfect little smile in all of the bloopers.  Definitely the most photogenic grandson

Love this shot. Pretty sure these genuine smiles came from my sister in law Megan doing the booty dance (as you can see below)

Love this shot of Jack

whatever you gotta do to get a good pic.

This isn't the best shot of the other boys, but I had to post it because look at that little angel faced son of mine in the back. Could.not.be.cuter.

This is the shot that we ultimately chose.  I love it because it shows how cute these boys are together! We miss having the Patricks around (as they've since moved to CA).  Owen fit right in like he was one of the brothers and he sure misses them!  He loves to look at their pictures and say, "Ja" for Jack (although they are all "Ja" to him :)

While we were shooting pictures, we decided to get a few pics of our small family.

Halloween

On the day of Halloween, we started off with going Trick or Treating at Jordan's work.  They had tons of candy and although Owen didn't need any of it, we was loving it.  He even caught up on saying "tee tee" for Trick or Treat.  Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of it. But I am sure you can fill in the blank.

Next up, we went to a friend's house in our neighborhood for a little mini party and then started our Trick or Treating!

Trick or Treating at our own house

He didn't Trick or Treat much... but he was on cloud nine chasing the kids from house to house.

Eating his goodies.

Auntie Kate came down to see him in action.  He sure loves Kate!

Sugar Lips - literally

One day he started pulling this face where he holds his breath, clenches his fists and acts like he is pushing.  It's so weird, but so funny.  Kate likes to encourage him.

Happy Halloween!
